Visiting Us

Hello BHBC Family when visiting the tap room you'll be able to check out 11 different beers made on site. As well as, hard cider, setter and an assortment of spirits. The Brick Wall Eatery provides a pub menu featuring App to Table service offering the perfect foods to compliment our beer. We will NO longer allow outside food. All seating is first come first serve. *Well behaved dogs are welcomed on our Outside Patio only.

For to-gos we offer 32oz Howlers. We recommend calling ahead for howler orders to avoid wait times. Check out our “What’s On Tap” for available beer options.

This sour ale is blended with multiple additions of Blackberries and Limes from the boil kettle all the way to the keg. The result is a delicious SWEETBERY Lime that'll leave you saying "no way Jose, that tastes just like fruit!" Dr. Steve Bruel himself says "guess what, you're gonna like it"! If you’re not familiar with the good Doctor then just Google his Sweetberry Wine clip, grab a glass of SWEETBERRY Lime, sip and enjoy!
Czeching Up 8.2% abv-12oz 32oz Refill $15 | Full $7

This Imperial Bohemian Pilsner flaunts a respectable ABV behind its slightly sweet malt body. With much lower hop bitterness than a German of American Pilsner the bready, biscuit like malt character really steals the show.
Papayan Ruins 6.8% abv-12oz 32oz Refill $15 | Full $8

With plenty of fruit to back up the heavy tart sour punch from the lactobacillus plantarum, this bold kettle sour is heavily fruited with papaya. At first sip you'll notice the sour flavors of the beer and papaya play of each other perfectly to hide this beer’s high ABV, making it one dangerously easy sipper, be careful that this one doesn't ruin you!
Show Me Strata 6.9% abv-16oz 32oz Refill $13 | Full $7

"Show Me" is our popular single hopped New England IPA series that rotates out a new hop each time around. Sharing the same grain bill this beer is nice and hazy with just enough body to not steal the "Show" from the featured hop. This batch we used Strata hops. Strata bings layered notes of tropical fruit including; mango, passion fruit, melon, fresh berry/strawberry, and tons citrus in the form of grapefruit and green apple. Along with this comes a dank herbal note of drifting cannabis. This beer showcases a nice balanced bitterness due to the versatility of the Strata hop.
Sanity Pils 5.0% abv- 16oz 32oz Refill $12 | Full $7

Lets brew up a little bit of Sanity with this classic German style that is oh so delicious. With a nice clear pale color, the malty sweetness is complimented by the wonderful bitterness of Germany's Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops.
Enigmatic Galaxy 8.3% abv-12oz 32oz Refill $15 | Full $8

Enigmatic Galaxy is a super soft, full creamy bodied New England style Double IPA that will smack you in the face with a fruit medley hop punch! With multiple additions of Citra, Enigma, Galaxy, and Mosaic hops there aren't many hop derived fruit flavors that aren't present is this one. Up front and most present are the tropical flavors of pineapple, passion fruit, and orange, with some mixed berries tossed in. Then it finishes out with a subtle kiss of stone fruits and a touch of dank hop resin.

This Baltic Porter packs tons of flavors into a smooth balanced beast of a lager. Featuring a balanced blend of cocoa, coffee, nuts, chocolate, and toffee flavors, no individual flavor overpowers another, and all come together to balance out this relatively high ABV.

This 8% Imperial Vanilla Coconut Porter is a medium bodied beer. The chocolate roasted malts give a slight bittering that is countered with the sweetness of vanilla. The hints of coconut on the tail end give it a delightful finish. This beer is so good it could be a dessert.
Munted Mate 6.6% abv-16oz 32oz Refill $15 | Full $8

This clean, and crisp New Zealand Pilsner is sure to get you and your mates good and munted! This crushable beer style is as if a New England IPA and a German Pilsner had a baby. This clean, clear, biscuity Pilsner features the Nelson Sauvin, and Motuka New Zealand hops, which bring flavors and aromas of zesty tropical fruit, citrus, and passion fruit.
Passionate Punch 6.9% abv-12oz 32oz Refill $15 | Full $8

This juicy Hazy New England style Double IPA is our bi-annual collaboration with Black Pond Brews. This time around instead of using traditional dry hopping techniques we used Nectaron and Citralicious HopBurst. The result is this bold smooth bodied, and velvety mouthfeel DIPA, with intense citrus and stone fruit aromas and flavors that finishes with a mild hoppy, resinous linger.
Hop Head Red 6.3% abv-16oz 32oz Refill $13 | Full $7

Hop Head Red is a beer that is for the true craft enthusiast. This Hoppy Red Ale doesn't quite fit into the Red IPA category, and it certainly isn't your average low IBU Red Ale, but more of a fusion of the two. The malty base of this Ale boasts rich notes of honey and biscuit. All placed into the background by bold hop flavors and aromas of piney, citrus, and grapefruit resinous West Coast hop additions.
SpACE Blood Orange 6.9% abv-12oz 32oz Refill $13 | Full $7

Ace Cider Co. SpACE is an unfiltered Blood Orange hard cider. The combination of blood orange and apples creates a semi-sweet and citrussy libation with a complementary tart finish.

Our Story

Bear Hands Brewing Company is Us. My husband Justin, is the brewer and I Kayla, am the business. While raising our kids, Ada 10, Colin 6 and our newest addition Elsie we decided to take on the endeavor of opening a brewery and tap room and still trying to balance work/ life/… brewery. We took Justin’s 14 year- homebrewing hobby, to the next level. After, the good feedback from our inner circle, we started traveling all around CT, from beer fest to beer fest. Pouring our beer for the masses, and again the feedback was great! That’s when we took it upon ourselves to formulate a business plan to open our very own Brewery and Tap Room. We wanted to make brewing a career so we could share our passion for beer and atmosphere with everyone. After, three long years of highs and lows we accomplished what we set out to do, our brewery doors are finally open! Bear Hands Brewing Company’s charming home is in the quiet corner of downtown Putnam, CT.
